Kathy Knox Clinic- June 27-28, 2009- Historic Warren Ranch, CHeyenne, WY

Recommended Posts

The Wyoming Wool Growers Association, with the help and support of Doug and Susan Samuelson, the owners of the historic Warren Ranch near Cheyenne, Wyoming, will be hosting a two-day Kathy Knox Clinic on June 27-28, 2009. The Clinic is limited to 22 dogs, and we expect to fill this Clinic quickly.

We will have a 60-foot round pen for novice dogs/handlers or those wanting to work with Kathy in a round pen, and we will also have the ability to have a small pasture as well as a large (this is Wyoming, you can imagine what that means) set-out area. Sheep are western white face ewes, have been worked by dogs as part of the average, every day operation of the Warren Ranch, but WILL NOT be "dog broke" by any means. (we can probably even round up a few unworked yearlings who think anything canine is probably a coyote, if you and your dog need a "challenge").

As far as we know, this is Kathy's only appearance in either Wyoming or northern Colorado this year, so if your looking for a beautiful place that is full of western history (the Warren Ranch was founded by FE Warren, Wyoming's first Governor and the ranch was where the Warhill Breed of sheep was developed) to work with one of the top clinicians in the country, this is it!!
