Dear sweet Charlie

We knew you had too short of a life, but you made sure to fill it with as much love and snuggles as you could. Do not worry about being alone at the bridge, you have been officially adopted. You have 3 offical people on record, Chris, myself and Leslie!!! (Our dog sitter & dear friend) We will see you again some day sweet boy and we will have eternity to work on "sit."

A puppy, God said,

For you to love him while he lives

And to mourn for him when he is gone.

Maybe for twelve or fourteen years,

Or maybe for two or three

But will you, till I call him back

Take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you

As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise that he will stay,

Since all from earth return,

I want this pup to learn.

I am so sorry. I really hate to read this section. As always, Buster puts up a great poem. This is a bad time of the year to lose someone in your life. My thoughts are with you.

Poor Charlie, such a sad, short life. If only the good part at the end could have gone on as long as it should have. Lots and lots of sympathy coming from us.

So sorry. We were posting at the same time on the other thread, so I will express my condolences here, though I was hoping for a Christmas miracle.

What a sweet tribute to a dog who was taken far too early. Maybe that's why he didn't care so much about "sit"--he knew he needed to get his cuddle time in!
