mbc1963
So sorry to hear about Charlie. Love grows so quickly for innocent things! I also have my fingers crossed that Ceana is protected from distemper by her vaccinations. Mary
urge to herd
I'm sorry to hear that Charlie passed, such sad news. The other posters are right - he passed away in a loving home after having known security and safety. That's a wonderful that you and Chris, Ceana and Poke gave him. I hope Ceana stays well, and that you all have a safe journey home. Ruth

KrisK
Charlie got to be loved in his final days. It's just so sad that he didn't have a longer life. Hugs to you for taking him in. Good mojo going to Ceana. Run free at the bridge, Charlie...there are lots of good dogs there to take care of you.

afrancis
Just signed on again to see this, which I feared. I'm so very sorry. Such a young loss. I must do some research on distemper. It sounds insidious. I, as well, will be keeping all of you in my thoughts through this holiday...and hoping that Ceana keeps safe as well! sandra s.
Poor little fellow it really does feel like he was robbed of something. (((Hugs))) to you. That's not how rescue efforts should be repaid. But then if it was easy, we'd all be doing it instead of sitting here hoping we can help out "some day", right? BustopherJones
When God calls little puppies to dwell with Him above, We humans always question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache can compare with the loss of one small 'child', Who does so much to make this world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires - always calling the aged to His fold, And so He picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them and so He picks but few; To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult, Yet somehow we must try, For the saddest word that mankind knows Will always be "good-bye". And so when little pups depart; We, who are left behind, Must realize how much God loves puppies.... For angels are hard to find. Via con Dios, little Charlie...called too soon...
