I find this particular passing particularly disturbing, because your Ben and my Annie look alike, and I immediately was forced to think about how I will feel when the day comes that Annie crosses the bridge. In such circumstances, one of my favorite pieces has always been Baby's Dad's eulogy for his beloved Zeke; I hope this classic brings you some small degree of comfort: Go in peace, my valiant friend. Last time I saw him, he and I were sharing a plate together till Patrick caught,..er I mean told him to go lie down. I will miss his good company and discerning palate. My heart goes out to you, Patrick and the boys. I would love it if youd regale us a Ben story, some times just talking about a lost loved one can help lift the sorrow, when you can share a little joy.
