Upper Midwest Stockdog Challenge 2008 Scores

More seasonal temperatures prevailed this year with average daytime highs in the mid-80's and humidity levels low enough that getting out of the truck was not the same as stepping into the shower. The cross-breed flock tested dogs on the fetch and the first leg of the drive and with an 80 yard blind portion of the fetch on the Open course requiring dogs who could hold the line against a strong draw to the handler's right while out of sight. Many thanks to the Kevin Bailey and family (Theresa, Richard, and Pam) for hosting the trial and to all who helped out especially; Claudia and Maddie Mahon, Pat and Gene Weringa, John Wentz, Donna May, Tes and Sandy Swanson (and Tes's long-suffering bf who was continually dissed by Theresa but dubbed "son-in-law-worthy" by Sandy for getting in the pens and getting his hands dirty).
