JaderBug
WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Jade went to the vet today to get her hips x-rayed, and she got an all clear!! The vet showed me the radiographs and the socket joints in her hips. She explained that ideally, they would like to have 50% of the ball inside the socket, and that was what Jade's hips showed. She did say that there was a *tiny* weak spot on the left socket, but that it wasn't something to be concerned with and that there was a good chance that she would grow out of it. That spot also wasn't conclusively the cause of whatever lameness she is exhibiting- she may have a tear in a muscle or ligament, which would be taking this long to heal. Essentially, I need to lay off the hard exercise with her for a while, until she stops the limping. She also said that there was a good indication that her hips would stay this way as well, but that I could get her checked again once she's full grown. I also asked about her weight and whether or not she was a little plump, to which she said she was fine, not under or over weight. She said that she's still a baby and essentially that she was just filled out kind of weird right now, but that she would probably shape up when she gets older. Whew!!! What a relief!!!!!! Sorry this was pretty late getting posted, it's been a super-busy night. Thanks for all the thoughts/suggestions/advice... hope everyone enjoys their 3-day weekend!!!!
