Lewie's hanging around the 60# mark at 10 months.

Don't know how tall he is but when I sit on the floor with him he's taller than me. I'm 5'6", so whatever that would make me from butt to top o' me head, he's taller than that.

Kip is 42 lbs, and, uh, about "this" tall.

I guess I have never measured him! He is a bit shorter at the withers than Sollers, the amazing blue-tick-Lab-something-sausage-hound.

I noticed last weekend at the Bluegrass that there were a lot of BC's shorter/smaller than Kip.

Question for anyone who knows: Were all the dogs running on Sun. BC's? I know there is wide variation in appearance, but I am curious... Particularly, I noticed a little dog named Ginny who ran early Sun. AM (who I SO enjoyed watching, BTW) who seemed very petite.

that is Barb Levinson's bitch and yes I do think she is all border collie. Most dogs run at the blue grass are border collies. There is the occassional kelpie and sheltie or cattle dog that run as well. I'm not sure there has been anyting but border collies in the top 20???? Can anyone answer that one? Except maybe the border/beardie?

Solo is 23" at the shoulder (give or take a quarter inch) and 52 pounds last time I weighed him. He could probably stand to lose a couple of pounds but either way he is a big boy. Fly is currently fat at 40-45 pounds (hasn't been weighed lately) and 19" or 20" at the shoulder (estimate). Both are nine years old.

Jett is seven months old, 30 pounds, and about the same height as Fly at the withers.

I think I remember Barb's Ginny from my NEBCA days. Is she very dark?

I hope I am attaching the right dog to the right name...but, if memory serves, the dog I am thinking about was petite, seemed fairly smooth coated and tri-colored, or black/tan---fairly tan around the legs and muzzle, I don't recall any white. This was my impression from across the field, anyhow! And, if I am attaching the right dog to the right name...she made a very nice save close to the pen when a single bossyboots sheep made a break for it!

I saw a post somewhere today, the owner said he had an 85 pound BC. No picture but that is strange or a typeO. I have a 57 pound four year old male. He is very tall, husky, huge feet, heavy tail and wide head. He is bearded and I am told he is a throw-back. He comes from very good stock. I would like to have a few of him. He is my best dog. Once I figure out how to get a picture posted I will show you a picture. What weight wins.

Ginnie crossed-over on both outruns; they did finish the shed and pen. This should tell you if you have the right dog name.

Eep! Nope, I do not think I retained that part of it. (We arrived shortly before seeing this dog run, 8:15-8:30ish...) I have never watched a trial before, just demonstrations, so can tell you I didn't know much about what to be watching for on the front end of the day, like whether the dog crossed over during the outrun! That was something very nice we noticed...the folks in the tent were ever so welcoming and good about answering questions, even walking out among the spectators along the fence/in the bleachers to solicit questions and answer them. My son is already talking about going down again next year. :D

Dew-somewhere in the neighborhood of 32#'s She's young and really moves up and down the scale by a few #'s all the time

Mick-42-46#'s again he goes up and down depending on how hard he's been working or if he's feeling good. He's the one that had all the TBDs and somtimes he just doesn't feel good. You can always tell, he gets roached in the back. Then it's my job to figure out what's going on. It's always a different reason. He's just sorta not that healthy all the time. Even at 46 he's not fat. He looks like he'd weigh about 50+ but the coat fools you.

Raven-36#'s is where she stays.

Jazz-52#'s but don't tell her I told. She's a bit fluffy but she's old and loves cereal milk so there you go. When heading down the driveway to greet us my son says she's has breasticles that swing back and forth just right  I don't care I love her and she's not obease so I'm not to worried.

All mine are average height, I've never measured. Dew is a bit shorter than the rest. She's not as leggy.

Fergie weighs 50 - 52lb and is 22 inches tall - as best as I can figure.

Do you know how hard it is for me (a old 5-foot tall female) to lift this dog and get onto the scale with her? And then read the stupid scale? To get a good reading for my own weight, I have to crouch and use my reading glasses. Can't do that with a dog in my arms. Old ain't easy! But I register for Social Security in less than 3 months!

Anyhow, although we know that Mom was a border collie, we have only reports that Dad was probably a lob. Only Mom knew. And she wasn't talking.

I haz a wee border collie apparently. Alex is about 19" tall and 32 lbs. My bc mix, Jack, is about 24-25" tall and 50 lbs. Very lean and muscular. I keep all three of mine thin, I think it's much healthier for them.
