Tassie
about Ness's reaction. Names - hmmm - pity Fastnthe Furious has been done . Western Treasure would be fine - even if/when you do move back to WA (that's Western Oz, folks, not Washington State!). After all, she's a treasure, and she's from the West, right? (I had it easy with Kirra - I wanted the Soul, for her grandfather,, and her breeder wanted the Sweet - from her mother's name - and came up with Sweet Soul Music - which I love - and when she was doing therapy dog work, was so true - she would gaze into people's eyes, and you could see it was good for the soul.) ness_bc
Next Wed ahoops - fingers crossed. Need to ring the breeder today and make arrangements for her flights. And yes if you want to meet her your more than welcome. I have been informed she will need a lot of socialisation if she isn't going to be a mummy's girl so will be after as many people to socialise her with as possible . berocca
On the name thing - I like Kenzie too - you could shorten to Kenz out on course - always a consideration for a girl with agility in her future. My Kirra becomes Kiz on course - but then that's mainly because I'm too short of breath to say the full name in time . Or if you are like me, you ended up calling out your own name and expecting the dogs to react. Meant to send Delta to a table, told her tunnel, then tried to call her back by screaming "BEC!" My poor, poor dogs don't stand a chance. Any pics yet?
BC-Liz
Or if you are like me, you ended up calling out your own name and expecting the dogs to react. Meant to send Delta to a table, told her tunnel, then tried to call her back by screaming "BEC!" My poor, poor dogs don't stand a chance. hahahah That's awesome. I feel bad for mine too. When I'm in a hurry to call their names, I go through the list...GunnarRheaMASI! I usually end up calling the right name at the end. I blame my father, for most of my life, I was JessicaLiz. For names, well I'm a fan of mythical names (Rhea is the mother of the olympians in greek mythology) but when I'm stuck I go to babynames.com and search that way. I think you can search by meaning too. My opinion is name your animals names that you really like but would never bestow upon human children. Good luck! ness_bc
Well guys she has been here for 2 nights and 1 full day so far and she is cute as a button but I had a very rough night. First night she wasn't to bad. Second night well she had the runs in her crate and I had to change her bedding 3 times . Here I was thinking she was just complaining because I had put her back in the crate after all she had been out to the toilet. Nope and then every time I put her back to bed she would lay quietly so I thought it would be ok. After the second "incident" I stayed up for a while and yep she had to go out again in another 30 minutes. Bugger. She was rather subdude at breakfast, certainly not the guts she was when she landed or yesterday and is back in her crate sound asleep. As for names her pet name is Kenzie with her registered name to be possibly Winpara Dream Chaser.
Tassie
Oh, poor Kenzie - and poor Ness. I guess the stress of the flight and the overall changes caught up with her. Hope tonight is better for you both. Glad you stuck with Kenzie - and Dream Chaser sounds nice for her registered name. BC-Liz When I'm in a hurry to call their names, I go through the list. - I know what you mean - with me it's "Fergus, Kirra, whoever you are". Luckily I've only got the 2. at berocca. Now that's something I've never actually done - though I'm sure it might happpen one day. It's amazing what our dogs put up with, isn't it, bless them. Errol
Well guys its all been signed sealed and delivered. Not quite but meet my new little baby girl pictured here by the breeder at 6 weeks. Should get her next Wednesday all things being well. Her pet name will be Kenzie I think unless I change my mind between now and then. Looks like a "KEVA"(KEEVA) to me. Irish for Precious,Beautifull and Gentle.

ness_bc
thanks for the name ideas - at the moment Kenzie is sticking with Zee for short (well she will probably also get a zillion other names LOL). I have just posted some photos in the photo section but here are a couple to tempt you.
