Tea
I have to share this with you! I started shearing today and got all my gear and took the dogs out to catch the sheep loose in a wooded field. Cap is an old hand with this, but its new to little Gunny. I got the dogs to flank the single selected sheep into a corner where I could catch her with the leg crook. At one point singling out a ewe the whole flock decided to take off. (Ewes with month old lambs, about 40) I sent the dogs out to head them and Gunny actually flanked around then leaped on top of one sheep did a mad dance to keep her balance then leaped to another and finally one more before reaching the head of the flock and stopping them, along with a surprised Cap. "How'd she get there so fast?" She was very pleased with herself. I laughed so hard with the memory of her astride that first ewe clinging desparately for balance. I'll bet you're kicking yourself for not having your camera!!! Next time....I can't wait to see! It sounds absolutely hilarious! Could be a circus act. Maybe a bit of extra money when you're retired? Cute pup! Is that Gunny or Cap? My Baxter, BC mix rescue, has similar markings around his eyes. It always reminds me of eyeliner. Sorry a bit off the topic. And please do take your video camera next time. Mel, Bonnie, and the Baxter
Tea
Thats little Cap! I will try to put up picture of Gunny. Looks like Gunny and our old Gelding are going to go help with Cows in MT That should be fun for her!
