The lead article, "Inside Animal Minds: Birds, Apes, Dolphins, and a Dog with a World-class Vocabulary" features a classic b/w bc named Betsy. She is six years old, and knows 340 words and counting. She knows 15 people by name, and can link photos with the objects they represent.
