Where in the world is Kathy Knox???

Recommended Posts

Okay, I saw something on the web about a Kathy Knox clinic this side (east of the mississip) and north of Georgia. Anyone know where that/those clinics may be???

Thanks

Julie

There is a clinic with both Kathy and Jack Knox the first week of June in the middle of Wisconsin.

I've been to a clinic with the two of them, and it was a very worthwhile experience. Kathy, who was great with child at the time, did a lot of narrating of what Jack was doing and it really helped understand to have real-time commentary from someone who knew what she was doing. Kathy did also work dogs while Jack narrated a few times, but because of her condition it was more Jack in the round pen and Kathy in the big field.

I know where she and Tweed were this weekend: In Portage WI at the Caledonia SDT laying down one of the prettiest runs you will ever see.

This was a 725 yard outrun on rolling terrain. A blind fetch of close to 200 yards, off the setout hill down into a valley and up a very steep incline on the other side. Once the sheep came back into view, they had to come through some long grass to be perfectly on line to the fetch gates, and then a drive of 450 yards, 250 on the cross drive.

96.5 points, dead straight on the fetch, the dog and sheep never stopped until the pen, never broke a fast walk on the parts of the course we could see and completed the course in 11 minutes. There just wasn't a wasted step. It wasn't just the technical mastery. This run was pretty from start to finish.

She also got 4th with Jake with an 85.

Allasdair MacRae put on quite a show too with a 95 with Star and a 91 with Nap to take 2nd and 3rd.

It is always a pleasure to watch good handlers with good dogs on a really really nice course.
