Far from an easy life, but what a way to learn about sheep --- and sheepdogs. I'm sure she's forgotten much more than I'll ever know. KrisK Posted May 15, 2007 Report Share Posted May 15, 2007 I watched her work with her dog at the Canadian National Trials in Kington ON. last August. I don't remember where she finished in the trials: what I do remember was her sending her dog to cool off once the sheep were successfully in the shedding area. It was a hot day and she had made good time getting the sheep to that area. So, off her dog raced to cool down and returned refreshed to complete the job. It was obvious to me - a COMPLETE NEWBIE NOVICE that she knew her dog very well as was able to do this in a trial situation. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
