PSmitty
You need to give vitamin E in conjunction with fish oil. Here's a thread on it: http://www.bordercollie.org/boards/index.php?showtopic=5289

Joe Anne
While fish (Salmon) oil has it's beneits, just be aware of the mercury content in fish these days. According to my Holistic vet, you can also give flax oil for the "comparable" antioxidant benefits, without worrying about the mercury content. As far as additional supplements, (and you may already know this), be sure to read the vitamin/mineral content of your dogs food. I actually discovered the "extra" supplements were NOT necessary for the daily recommended dose of certain vitamins and minerals, as they were already in correct amounts in the "recommended" amount to feed your dog daily.
