  1. Hello! I'm thrilled to be part of the Border Collie club. So far, I'm loving my new puppy. He turned 11 weeks, this past weekend. I've had him for 2 weeks and have enjoyed watching him grow and develop his personality. When I bought the puppy, the breeder told me it was a Brown Tri, even though he didn't have any of the light brown/tan color. He said that the puppy would grow into it. I noticed that his other litter-mates did have the light brown/tan color, so I thought it was odd he didn't have it, if he was in fact going to be a tri. I am curious what you guys think. Do you see any signs of tri in him? Is this something that some puppies do grow into? I don't really care if he is tri or not, I'm just asking out of curiosity. Here are two pictures that were taken over the weekend, at 11 weeks of age. Thanks!
  2. Hello everyone, So sorry if this should have been posted on another forum... I have a black and white border collie and even thought I've taken her to see way too many doctors, no one can seem to tell me what her eye has. It looks like a marbled eye but I have never seen another black and white bc with marbled eyes... is it possible? Her eye is normal, she sees just fine and doesn't have any abnormality other than the strange color... Hope you can help me and so sorry for my english. Thank you all
  3. First of all let me start by saying what a great knowledge base this site has. I started lurking here around 6 months ago when I was looking for information on training techniques for my border collie Tucker. Tucker is now a little over a year old and over that year has seen a lot of controversy regarding his color. Tucker was purchased from a breeder here in Tennessee and both of his parents are the "text book" black and white. The other puppies in his litter vary anywhere from black & white to red to whatever Tucker is. I've had people tell me there is no way he is a border collie because he is not "colored right" and so on and so forth. I know he is a border collie - of that there is no question in my mind. However what I don't know is what color to call him so I thought I'd ask the experts here. What color is my dog?
