  1. After a restless night jeeves seems almost back to normal hes had breakfast and the heavy breathing seems to have calmed down. The vet said it was probably some lodged food and to watch him for the day incase symptoms worsen. Hes certainly livened up this morning.
  2. Trust me when i say we wouldnt go into it willy nilly. We just thought it would be nice if he had papers as the idea came up. And we understand that rounding a few ponies and chickens is not a good enough reason to breed. Also not all bc from working lines make working dogs some simply just refuse. Also many bcs from non working lines have made superb working dogs. Again this was not our intention and probably never will be. But its nice to see people passionately against the irresponsible breeding of bc`s.
  3. Hes stopped breathing heavy and i found the emergency no. for the vet however theres no answer. Im going to stay up late to keep an eye. with his breathng returned to normal or at least for now my worries have lightened. hes had small treat one of those pedigree maribone thingys and hes now sleeping normally. im going to try the vet again in a minute ill let you know if they answer. oh yeah and hes seven months old.
  4. S*** now im worried o.k. first thing in the morning its to the vets, fingers crossed.
  5. Also we were wondering jeeves has no papers. Recently we were approached by a local farmer who stated jeeves had lovely conformity, temperament and a natural ability to work. weve never tried this with him but he likes to round the ponies up the farm naturally doing downs prowling and then running them into groups. He also asked if we would like to allow him to to breed. We also had no intention of this but the idea has now been put in our heads. Obviously this would be better if we had papers which we havent. His father was a worker and although his mother wasnt she was clearly alert and would also do the same as jeeves does now at her farm. Anyone know how we would go about obtaining papers for him. Again thanks in advance. Jeeves
  6. Hi all, this morning something terrible happened, we both had to get up early and forgot to give jeeves his breakfast. Anyway this evening we gave jeeves his supper and he he flatly refused. This is completely not like him as normally its gone within seconds and awaiting his evening chew. About an hour ago his breathing has become quite heavy itermitantly. and his usual activity level is at about a third. Should i be worried? He looks quite happy but i cant help feel somethings up. Maybe hes swallowed something like a piece of plastic and its got stuck (just a guess) what do you think should i rush him to the vet or am i over reacting? BTW hes pooed twicw today normally which ive checked and nothings in there altough sometimes there can be a piece of plastic and even tin foil ive seen before. i dont even know where he finds these things. Thanks in advance......
  7. R.E.M. Is the stage where dreams occur if you look at your dogs eyes when you think hes dreaming you can see it happening, therefor they definitely dream. As far as im aware R.E.M. only occurs in the dream state, I saw it on t.v. oops im rambling.
  8. Jeeves is done in about 5.2 - 5.7 seconds and thats him taking his time
  9. Lovely looking bc. Im a summer man myself so this time of year sucks, except for christmas day.
  10. O.k thanks every one glad to hear its not just me. Ill try all suggestions, i guess i will just have to put up with trench foot for a bit longer. Will let you know how this pans out hopefully wont last long. Thank god for laminate flooring........
  11. Hi all, o.k i have a problem, well not me but Jeeves. whenever he greets someone or especially me, he wees not just on the floor but on peoples legs feet etc. Its definitely an over excited thing and weve tried to ignore him for the first few minutes when we come in but he still does it. A friend came round last night who knew of our problem and didnt even look at him and yet Jeeves walking sideways due to his tail wagging taking over his movement was peeing everywhere. If i take him upto my parents he especially likes peeing on my dad who REALLY does not see the funny side. What can i do. Hes coming up five months and its been going on for about 3 weeks now. The other thing is when hes doing it on me he gets really nervous and sort of cowers away and at the same time hes wagging his tail like he knows hes doin something wrong although ive never shouted at him for doing it but just say Jeeves dissapprovingly and then go about cleaning it up. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP.
