  1. Another option..just to make things more confusing..might be that he some space issues. This may not be applicable as I adopted Kavin when he was 10 months old and as he became more comfortable with me he became less "friendly" to others. This is most apparent with children and my dog trainer said that he has issues with strangers being near his head. I do a lot of handling of all parts of him, so he lets me do things, but not other people. Anyhow, because the youngest sibling is literally "in his face" it evokes a different reaction. He is establishing boundaries he doesn't need to but he doesn't realize that, maybe. Anyhow, when I learned that it changed my approach to Kavin completely. Also, I had enrolled him a GROUP obedience class so we could work on socialization. He has social issues. It has done him a lot of good. He is still not completely predictable but he has gotten a lot better.
  2. Hey! I can't answer many of the questions, but I would be very interested in forming something. Where do you live in Atlanta? I live out in Ball Ground, which is 50 miles away in the northwest. Jack and I did some agility at a place here in Ball Ground (Atlanta Dogworks) and I would love to do more because you do need to do it more often than once a week. I was looking for something that is indoors because of the darkness factor in the winter and because my dog trainer's facility is not fenced in and Kavin needs it to be fenced in. So one, if you are not too terribly far away and two we can get a group together to work on it I would be very interested with two bc's and a schipperkee.
  3. I got Jack on the side of the road when he was 9 weeks old, and Kavin came from the Humane Society/animal shelter in Atlanta...I saw his picture on the web site and fell in love with his smile, though when I went to meet him he just looked depressed and withdrawn. It took a while to get that smile out of him, but it is happening more and more. He was at the shelter for a month and went on the PetSmart dog adoption trips but no one wanted him. Because he is an adult I am sure.
