  1. Mojo and prayers from all of us in Ohio. Get better soon Ollie
  2. According to the reports, there was an investigation and the Union County Grand Jury reviewed the evidence and found no cause for further charges against Conklin. Link here I didn't hear about this part of the story until I was looking into the results of the case, but apparently the person taking the video was also on the tapes hitting the cows with a pitchfork. He said he had to to maintain his cover. Here is a link to that story.
  3. I am so sorry to hear this. Run free Maggie.
  4. I am sorry to hear this. Run free at the bridge Spot
  5. We have had laminate flooring in the majority of our downstairs since 2005 and have been very pleased with it. There has been no real damage to it from Nellie running on it. The only issue we have had is where we used to put her water bowl on the floor it did a little damage at that joint in the floor, but it really isn't that noticeable. We are currently renovating the kitchen and the floor has even held up to all of the construction work and debris with no real issues. We looked at replacing it all with wood as part of the project, but the floor still looks good so decided against the extra cost.

  9. Hey I actually did see a 1971 Ford Pinto on the road the other day. All souped up into a race car. May be the only one still on the roads.

  11. Sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in our thougths.
  12. Depending on where you are located, the foster owner may be right. When we first got Nellie, who is thunderphobic, we could not even get her to go near the door to go outside when it was raining, or if the storms were 12 to 24 hours away. We would have to leash her just to get her outside. If there are still storms coming into your area, he may be reacting to the pressure change associated with the front. He may need some more time to get used to you and his new home. It took Nellie a few months to decide that she didn't have to hide when she felt a storm coming and would at least stay downstairs with us. We have had her about 4 years now, and she will still go hide during the storms, but will stay downstairs until it storms. She will still not go on a walk if she believes a storm is coming and will just sit in front of you and keep moving to stay in front of you to get you to go back home. Our last border collie was fine with just about anything, until she was home alone during a wind storm that blew a tree down in the yard. After that when the wind would pick up, she would get very nervous and go to bed.
  13. That looks very similar to what Nellie has on her eye. We noticed it right after we adopted her and she was going in for her initial vet visit so we asked him about it. I do not remember the term he used, but basically it was the color part of the eye leaking out into the white and it really was not a big deal. We have had Nellie for almost five years now and I do not think it has changed in size. If it begins to bother her or get bigger, I would definitely take her in to the vet, but you could probably wait until she is going in anyway. Of course, if it would make you feel more comfortable, I would take her in for the peace of mind. She is a cute dog.

  17. DW wanted to get a new french door refrigerator, and since the old one still worked I said absolutely not. Well when they deliver the new fridge, it was too big to fit in the space vacated by the old fridge so it had to set in the middle of the kitchen floor until we could figure out a way to make it work. Nellie refused to walk by the fridge while in the middle of the floor and after it made its way to the proper space, she still would not go near it for at least a week and would sprint past it looking scared. She also will not walk down the hallway when either going upstairs or coming down, she has to take the trip through the living room, kitchen, then dining room to get to the door to go out. She will look at you like you are some type of alien when you stand in the kitchen in front of her when she was in front of you coming down the steps.
